Hm, I am afraid the light shines somewhat off the acrylic paint, which does not do the colors justice, but regardless, here is my second-to-last painting I made in the class, which incorporates fauvism (think heat-vision and pastels). Having never created a snake image in my art before, I could not resist trying it out, and after countless hours of working on it and getting my desk full of paint, I managed to complete it. Perhaps the most frustrating parts were the belly scales...and my teacher telling me that my green wasn't yellow enough when it pretty much matched the hue on the picture (which had been altered significantly enough for us to declare this original work...I guess).
Whoa, this is..bright. I would love to have this on my wall, but I would fear to be blinded by it every day XD

I like this! It's vibrant and trippy, and I'm a long time fan of snakes. I would love if my little California king snake evolved into a cobra, but he insists that he isn't a pokemon...
I'm glad you like it, lol. And yeah, snakes are neat. I've been watching some documentaries on National Geographic about vipers...scary little critters, but they give live births, wtf?

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

The voice in my head is my best friend. She says hi, by the way, and is demanding tuna...
I spaz out over Jin. It's the accent. And stuff. Yeah, okay, so I'm a total fangirl...
